Managed Internet for Sporting Events
High-octane event internet.
From karate to car racing and footy to fishing, we’ve got a managed internet solution to suit your needs. We work with hundreds of sporting event producers in every kind of setting – indoors and out – to supply multi-carrier bonded internet with live support to make sure they never miss a play.
Sporty people work with PopUp WiFi for production internet to support all the essentials, including registrations, judging, live streaming, media, scoring and guest internet.
We love the variety of jobs that come from our sporting events customers. One day we might be supporting talent scouts looking for their next star football player as they watch games remotely, the next day we can be connecting timing stations for an ultramarathon. We often find ourselves supporting major indoor tournaments in sports such as martial arts and dressage as a more affordable, more powerful alternative to the in-house internet. We’ve seen a spike in media teams renting the Beast units to have onsite at Formula One and other car racing events to speed up their file transfers – without having to leave the site.
So, whether you need a basic connection for your box office to keep the lines moving quickly, or something more powerful to make sure the viewers back home never miss a moment, we’re sure you’ll be a fan of our plug ’n’ play internet.

Here's how it works...

1. On your marks...
Set your unit(s) up exactly where you need connectivity, either via WiFi, hard line or both. Sit your unit up off the ground and add power. The runners in the photo on the left here chose to add their battery for more portability between checkpoints. Remember: our techs are available 24/7, so if you have a setup question, just call or text us anytime. We can make changes on the spot, and deliver two days before your event to give you plenty of time for setup before the starting gun goes off.

2. Start Slipstream.
Here, you’ll find all the essential information about your event network rental in one handy spot for live insights and instant help. Scan the QR code on your unit or click the Slipstream link in your confirmation email to access your booking details including live updates on the number of users on your network, the amount of data you’ve used and the number of devices connecting to your network.

3. Game on.
During your event, your PopUp WiFi network has the combined power of 5G and 4G from all three major carriers simultaneously. Even if one carrier fails, the others keep running using Instant Seamless Failover. Our techs can dynamically reassign the SIMs in your unit so they “talk” to the best-performing mobile towers in your area. The ultra high-gain antennas in the Beast (pictured here) makes it a great choice when you’re producing at a major event where there’s a big crowd around, or in regional venues.

5. We’re always here to help.
Most of your real-time questions like “what’s my password?” or “how many people are online?” will be answered when you scan the QR code on your unit and launch the Slipstream dashboard. For everything else, we offer 24/7 live phone support. Just call or text us the code printed on your unit, and our techs will log into your network and make changes on the spot if needed.

6. After the event.
When the show’s over and the applause has finally faded, PopUp WiFi load-out is a total breeze. Just return your order back to the boxes they arrived in and apply the return shipping labels over the old labels so they get home safely. Remember to have your PopUp WiFi equipment ready for courier collection by the next business day. Once we see your units have scanned, we’ll send you a confirmation email, and we’ll be all done!
